Topic
Updated rhevm-reports packages that fix various bugs and add various
enhancements are now available.
Description
The Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization reports package provides a suite of
pre-configured reports and dashboards that enable you to monitor the system. The
reports module is based on JasperReports and JasperServer, and can also be used
to create ad-hoc reports.
This update fixes the following bugs:
- Previously in the Chinese and Japanese versions of "Active Virtual Machines"
in the "OS Over Time" report, local strings displayed incorrectly as squares.
Local strings now display correctly in the Chinese and Japanese versions of
"Active Virtual Machines" in the "OS Over Time" report. (BZ#901418)
- Previously, several of the reports did not display correctly. These included
"Resource Usage of VM" and "Top 5 Busiest Disk Usage". Reports now display
correctly. (BZ#876085)
- A syntax error for the Virtual Machines Inventory has been fixed. The report
now displays a list of virtual machines as expected. (BZ#967276)
- Field names in Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Reports are now displayed
with improved formatting. Previously, field names were displayed with
underscores (vm_latest_with_del.ad_domain), the way the fields were referred to
internally. (BZ#882648)
- "Inventory Reports" is now correctly displayed in the "Show Reports" menu.
(BZ#894684)
- Previously, Ad Hoc reports displayed only versions 3.1 and 3.0. Ad Hoc reports
now correctly displays version 3.2. (BZ#906282)
- Previously, when clicking on the "Need help logging in?" button, default
jasper credentials incorrectly displayed. Clicking on the "Need help logging
in?" button now displays rhevm credentials. (BZ#870017)
- The Single Virtual Machine Uptime report has been updated to display correct
report information. (BZ#912302)
- The Cloud Provider Virtual Machine Inventory report now displays the correct
amount of time for sessions of less than one hour. (BZ#913081)
- The order of "Period Range" values in reports containing them has been
corrected. (BZ#913084)
- The Cluster dashboard headline has been altered so that it no longer obscures
the Cluster's status. (BZ#873238)
- The "Busiest NICs" tooltip in the Single Host Resource Usage (Hour of Day)
(BR2C) report now displays correct information. (BZ#871737)
- In the Reports Portal, the Inventory Dashboard tooltip that appears when you
hover over "Storage Domain Disk Use" previously displayed only a number. It now
displays that number plus "GB" at the end. (BZ#871751)
- In Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Reports, there were some Gershaim
(apostrophes) in Cluster dashboard headlines where there should have been none.
It has now been removed. (BZ#892940)
It also adds the following enhancements:
- A new report displays the inventory of the storage domains. It includes the
storage name, type, vendor, operating system, version, IP, status, and capacity.
(BZ#772918)
- Support for non-Latin fonts has been enhanced, so Japanese and Chinese text
display correctly on the reports portal dashboard. (BZ#952469)
- A new report, User Session Activity Report, logs when a user connects to a
SPICE console, their username, and the total duration of their session(s).
(BZ#880581)
- In Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Reports, the Input Controls labels are
now localized. (BZ#876138)
- Data Center dashboards now display the number of storage domains in the
General Count chart. (BZ#854949)
- It is now possible to generate a reports on virtual machine uptime.
(BZ#862019)
- The Users' Spice Sessions Activity report now displays the date and time of
SPICE sessions. (BZ#910778)
- A new report, Cloud Provider Virtual Machine Inventory, displays guest usage
over a specified period of time, to be used for CCP reporting back to Red Hat.
(BZ#883137)
