Details
An updated ibm-prtm package that adds an enhancement is now available for Red
Hat Enterprise MRG 1.2.
ibm-prtm is a utility and startup script for IBM BladeCenter systems. It enables
an Error Detection and Correction (EDAC) driver. This utility also turns off the
System Management Interrupts (SMI) generation, which improves system response
time to events.
This updated package adds the following enhancement:
* support added for SMI remediation for the IBM BladeCenter HS22V, IBM System
x3650 M3 and x3550 M3 systems. In addition, the init script has been fixed so
that it is now compliant with Linux Standard Base (LSB) guidelines, thus
resolving this issue. (BZ#592934)
Users of the Realtime capabilities of Red Hat Enterprise MRG 1.2 are advised to
upgrade this updated package.
