Advisory: RHEA-2009:0129-3
Type: Product Enhancement Advisory
Severity: N/A
Issued on: 2009-01-20
Last updated on: 2009-01-20
Affected Products: RHEL Desktop Supplementary (v. 5 client)
RHEL Supplementary (v. 5 server)

Details

An iwl5000-firmware package that matches the iwlagn driver in the latest
Red Hat Enterprise Linux kernels is now available.

The iwlagn driver requires firmware loaded on the device in order to
function. This package provides the firmware required by that driver for
the iwl5000 hardware line. The firmware required by the iwlagn driver for
the iwl4965 hardware line is already contained in the iwl4965-firmware package.

Users of the iwlagn driver are advised to install this new package, which
provides this enhancement.
