An updated hwdata package that adds enhancements is now available.
Description
The hwdata package contains tools for accessing and displaying hardware
identification and configuration data.
This updated package adds the following enhancements:
- the NVIDIA Quadro FX 560 and FX 1600 cards have been added to the pci.ids
database.
- the following monitors have been added to the MonitorsDB database: Acer
AL1916W, EIZO FlexScan L568 and L568D, Samsung SyncMaster 795DF, 205BW,
206BW, 225BW, 226BW, and 931BF.
- entries for the AMD SB700 and SB800 SATA controllers have been added to
the pci.ids database.
- mappings between module names and ATA/SATA controllers have been added to
the pcitables database.
- the MonitorsDB database has been updated to remove duplicate entries.
- the pci.ids and usb.ids databases have been updated with many entries for
new hardware.
- over 600 LG monitors have been added to the MonitorsDB database.
Users of hwdata are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which adds
these enhancements.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.
