Advisory: RHEA-2008:0390-2
Type: Product Enhancement Advisory
Severity: N/A
Issued on: 2008-05-21
Last updated on: 2008-05-21
Affected Products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux (v. 5 server)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Desktop (v. 5 client)
OVAL: N/A

Details

New python-iniparse and python-setuptools packages are now available for
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2.

python-iniparse is an INI parser for Python. It is API-compatible with the
standard library's ConfigParser, preserves structure of INI files (order of
sections & options, indentation, comments, and blank lines are preserved
when data is updated), and is more convenient to use.

python-setuptools is a collection of enhancements to the Python distutils
that allow you to more easily build and distribute Python packages,
especially ones that have dependencies on other packages.

The python-setuptools package is required to build python-iniparse.

This release adds python-iniparse (and python-setuptools) to Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 5.2.

All users requiring python-iniparse should install this new package.
