Details

A new openmpi package that adds enhancements is now available.

Openmpi is the Open Message Passing Interface software stack used for
cluster communications in High Performance Compute clusters.

The following enhancements are included in this updated package:

* the openmpi stack was updated from version 1.1.1 to 1.2.3.

* support for the udapl transport mechanism was added.

* support for the libibverbs-1.1 libraries included in the openib-1.2
package was added.

* support for all Infiniband-, iWARP-, and RDMA-based transport mechanisms
was improved.

All openmpi users should install this newly released package, which adds
these enhancements.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.
