Details

Updated microcode_ctl packages which add an updated vendor-supplied CPU
microcode file are now available.

The microcode_ctl package updates the microcode on Intel x86 and EM64T
CPUs.

When running guests under xen the kernel microcode device was missing
which caused microcode_ctl to load, but with many errors during boot. An
updated vendor-supplied CPU microcode file is being made available by Intel
Corporation, for users of Intel i386 and EM64T processors, which resolves
this issue and adds various enhancements.

All Intel x86 and EM64T users should install these updated packages, which
resolves this issue and adds enhancements.
