java-1.5.0-bea enhancement update

Updated JRockit 1.5.0 packages are now available.

The following packages comprise BEA's JRockit 1.5.0_08 R27.1.0:

java-1.5.0-bea-console
java-1.5.0-bea-demo
java-1.5.0-bea-devel
java-1.5.0-bea-jdbc
java-1.5.0-bea-src

The BEA WebLogic JRockit 1.5.0_08 JRE and SDK contain BEA WebLogic
JRockit Virtual Machine 1.5.0_08 and are certified for the Java
5 Platform, Standard Edition, v1.5.0.

The Java 5 Runtime Environment consists of the Java virtual machine, the
Java platform core classes, and supporting files, including a Web browser
plugin for running Java applets. It is the runtime part of the Java 5 SDK,
but without the development tools such as compilers and debuggers.

The Java 5 Software Development Kit (SDK) is a development environment for
building applications, applets, and components that can be deployed on the
Java platform. The Java 5 SDK software includes tools useful for
developing and testing programs written in the Java programming language.
The Java 5 SDK software also includes a JDBC/ODBC bridge for Java
applications that need to communicate with a database.

BEA has discontinued support for the Java plugin and WebStart. There is no
java-1.5.0-bea-plugin sub-package included in this release, and installing
these packages will remove any java-1.5.0-bea-plugin package you have
installed. Likewise, this release does not include the
java-1.4.2-bea-console sub-package and installing these packages will
remove any java-1.4.2-bea-console package you have installed.

This release includes bug fixes and other general improvements.

Users of the JRockit 1.4.2 release may install these JRockit 1.5.0 packages
in parallel and use alternatives to switch between the two environments.

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.

To update all RPMs for your particular architecture, run:

rpm -Fvh [filenames]

where [filenames] is a list of the RPMs you wish to upgrade. Only those
RPMs which are currently installed will be updated. Those RPMs which are
not installed but included in the list will not be updated. Note that you
can also use wildcards (*.rpm) if your current directory *only* contains the
desired RPMs.

Please note that this update is also available via Red Hat Network. Many
people find this an easier way to apply updates. To use Red Hat Network,
launch the Red Hat Update Agent with the following command:

up2date

This will start an interactive process that will result in the appropriate
RPMs being upgraded on your system.
