Advisory: RHEA-2006:0448-6
Type: Product Enhancement Advisory
Severity: N/A
Issued on: 2006-07-20
Last updated on: 2006-07-20
Affected Products: Red Hat Desktop (v. 3)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS (v. 3)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES (v. 3)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS (v. 3)

Details

Updated ltrace packages that contain a new version of ltrace are now available.

The ltrace utility is a debugging program that runs a specified command
until the command exits. While the command is executing, ltrace intercepts
and records both the dynamic library calls called by the executed process
and the signals received by the executed process. Ltrace can also intercept
and print system calls executed by the process.

This update includes the 0.4 version of ltrace, which adds support for IBM
zSeries, ppc64 and Itanium systems.

Users of ltrace on these platforms should install these updated packages.
