Topic
New gluster-ansible packages are now available for Red Hat Gluster Storage
3.4 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
Description
The gluster-ansible packages provide ansible roles which can be executed by ansible-playbook command line. This allows gluster-ansible users to deploy, configure, and maintain glusterFS clusters with Ansible.
This enhancement update adds the following new gluster-ansible packages to Red Hat Gluster Storage 3.4:
- gluster-ansible-roles: This package provides example playbooks for RHHI end-to-end deployment. This role has other roles as dependencies.
- gluster-ansible-infra: This package helps the user to set up bricks for glusterFS clusters (including VDO configurations), configure the firewall, and clean up the bricks. This package supports JBOD, RAID6, and RAID10 disks configurations.
- gluster-ansible-features: This package helps the user to setup glusterFS for RHHI, which includes installing the required packages, starting the services, and creating volumes.
- gluster-ansible-cluster: This package helps the user to create glusterFS volumes. Currently distribute, distribute-replicate, arbiter, and disperse volumes are supported.
- gluster-ansible-repositories: This package helps the user to register to Red Hat Subscription Manager, and subscribe or unsubscribe to various channels.
- gluster-ansible-maintenance: If a glusterFS node goes offline, replacing the faulty node with another node is a tedious and error-prone process. This package helps users to replace a faulty glusterFS node with another node seamlessly.
These packages are now available from the base channels in Red Hat Network.
(BZ#1630737)
All users who require gluster-ansible are advised to install these new
packages.
