Red Hat Insights patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
Updated gluster-swift package that fix several bugs are now available for
Red Hat Gluster Storage 3.3.
Description
gluster-swift provides object interface in Red Hat Gluster Storage. It allows glusterFS volumes to be exported over object interface using the HTTP protocol and Openstack Swift API. Objects are stored and accessible as files. Containers are maintained as top-level directories of volumes. Each Swift account is mapped to a glusterFS volume.
This advisory fixes the following bug:
- Previously, volume names with underscore symbol [ _ ] could not be used, as swift-gen-builders syntax recognized underscore symbol as a delimiter for device and metadata. With this update, you can now use a verbose syntax with swift-gen-builders and volume names can now contain underscores. (BZ#1451998)
All users of Red Hat Gluster Storage with gluster-swift are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which fixes this bug.
