Severity: N/A
Issued on: 2017-06-13
Last updated on: 2017-06-13
Affected Products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Desktop (v. 7)

Details

Updated rpcbind packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 7.

The rpcbind utility is a server that converts Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
program numbers into universal addresses. It must be running on the host to be
able to make RPC calls on a server on that machine.

This update fixes the following bug:

* Prior to this update, the rpcbind utility terminated unexpectedly on start. A
patch has been applied, and rpcbind now starts as expected. (BZ#1457172)

Users of rpcbind are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix
this bug.
