Bug Fix Advisory Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 6 Bug Fix and Enhancement Advisory

Advisory: RHBA-2017:0529-1
Type: Bug Fix Advisory
Severity: N/A
Issued on: 2017-03-15
Last updated on: 2017-03-15
Affected Products: Red Hat OpenStack 6.0 for RHEL 7

Details

Updated packages that resolve various issues are now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 6.0 (Juno) for RHEL 7.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform provides the facilities for
building a private or public infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) cloud
running on commonly available physical hardware.

This update addresses the following issue:

Previously, Open vSwitch had an internal counter overflow issue, noticeable
after a while using bond port. Consequently, the Open vSwitch daemon would
consume all of the CPU. With this update, the counter size has been increased
to match the value value to be stored, so that the Open vSwitch service can
remain functional even after using bond for a long time.
