Topic
Red Hat Certificate System 8.1 Advanced Access is now available.
Updated Red Hat Certificate System 8.1 with Advanced Access that fixes
one bug is now available. This update should be applied on top of Red
Hat Certificate System 8.1.6.
Description
Red Hat Certificate System is a complete implementation of an enterprise software system designed to manage enterprise public key infrastructure (PKI) deployments.
This update fixes the following bug:
- When the user attempted to reset a token PIN with External Registration enabled, Red Hat Certificate System did not properly calculate the token type. Instead, Red Hat Certificate System automatically set the tokenType attribute to the "userKey" value, regardless of the actual token type. The bug has been fixed, and tokenType is no longer hard-coded to "userKey" if External Registration is enabled. The token type is now dynamically calculated for the PIN reset operation in the same way as it is calculated for the format and enrollment operations. (BZ#1241706)
Users of Red Hat Certificate System 8.1 are advised to apply this update, which fixes this bug.
