Red Hat Insights patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
Updated rhevm-log-collector packages that fix one bug are now available.
Description
The rhevm-log-collector utility allows users to easily collect log files
from all systems in their Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization environment.
This advisory contains these changes to the ovirt-engine-log-collector
component:
- The resolution to BZ#210644 introduced package splitting to allow upgrade
between Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.6 and 6.7. However, this resulted in an
unfriendly error message for users who don't install the sos-plugins
sub-package. A fix has been added informing the user that the sos-plugin
sub-package has to be installed and pointing the user to the relevant KB
article: https://access.redhat.com/solutions/1487343 (BZ#1232377)
Users of rhevm-log-collector are advised to upgrade to these updated
packages, which fix this bug.
