Synopsis
hwcert-client-1.6.5 bug fix update

Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
Updated hwcert-client-1.6.5 packages that fix one bug are now available for Red
Hat Enterprise Linux Hardware Certification.
Description
The hwcert-client packages contain the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Hardware
Certification Test Suite which verifies the compatibility of hardware devices.
Each hwcert-client test run builds a results database for submission to the Red
Hat Hardware Catalog as an XML file. hwcert-client replaces v7 and the Red Hat
Hardware Test Suite (HTS) for certifying hardware for use with Red Hat
Enterprise Linux.
This update fixes the following bug:
- Previously, hwcert-client failed to detect an FCoE LUN (Fibre Channel over
Ethernet Logical Unit Number) device and add it to the test plan. After this
update, hwcert-client checks all devices in the /devices/virtual/ directory.
Now, the storage test can be run successfully on FCoE LUN devices. (BZ#1087508)
Users of Hardware Certification Test Suite are advised to upgrade to these
updated packages, which fix this bug.
