Bug Fix Advisory
Red Hat Insights patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
An updated rhevm-dwh package that fixes two bugs is now available.
Description
The Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager data warehouse package
provides the ETL process and DB scripts to create a historic database API.
Enables SQL BI reports creation for management and monitoring.
- Previously, the engine history database did not include ENUM value
translators for Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012. Without those
translators, reports on virtual machines by operating system did not
include information about virtual machines running either of Windows 8 or
Windows Server 2012.
ENUM value translators were added to the engine history database for
Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012, and now virtual machines running either
operating system are included in reports by operating system. (BZ#973266)
- Previously, the ENUM values in the history database for non-English
locales were inserted incorrectly. This caused special characters to render
incorrectly in the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Reports portal.
Non-English ENUM value insertions have been corrected in the history
database, and now special characters are rendered correctly. (BZ#973246)
All Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization reports and data warehouse users are
advised to upgrade to this updated package which address these issues.
