Topic
An updated rhevm-iso-uploader package is available.
Description
The ISO uploader is a tool for uploading ISO images to the ISO storage
domain. It is installed as part of the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization
Manager.
This update fixes the following bugs:
- Previously, the --insecure flag was being passed to the
rhevm-iso-uploader with the intention of operating without a security
certificate. However, the --insecure flag removes certification validation,
rather than the requirement of a certificate. Users that tried to upload
ISOs using the rhevm-iso-uploader by passing the --insecure flag found
that they could not upload ISO images without a CA certificate.
A new flag was created in ovirt-sdk allowing insecure object creation.
The iso-uploader uses the new ovirt-sdk and now --insecure option no longer
requireds a CA certificate. (BZ#886525)
- Previously, the naming convention in place for the certificate file used
by rhevm-iso-uploader to ensure secure communications prevented the
uploader from working correctly.
The certificate file, formerly named engine_ca, is now called cert_file,
and the rhevm-iso-uploader functions correctly. (BZ#894688)
- Previously, using the rhevm-iso-uploader tool to upload images over ssh
failed if a key file was specified. The ssh key file parameter passed to
rhevm-iso-uploader was parsed incorrectly.
Now, the rhevm-iso-uploader can accept the location of an ssh key file
as a parameter, and upload ISOs without requiring a password. (BZ#904719)
All Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager users should install this
update which includes these fixes.
