Topic
An updated rhevm-dwh package that fixes various bugs is now available.
Description
The Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager data warehouse package provides
the ETL process and DB scripts to create a historic database API. Enables SQL BI
reports creation for management and monitoring.
- Previously when rhevm-reports and rhevm-dwh were being installed or restarted,
log files and confirmation dialogs made reference to restarting jbossas. As a
result, it was unclear that the jbossas service has been replaced by the
ovirt-engine service. Logs and dialogs were updated to reference ovirt-engine
instead of jbossas. Now, users can clearly see that the ovirt-engine service,
and not the jbossas service, is stopped and re-started when installing
rhevm-reports and rhevm-dwh. (BZ#858569)
- Previously, virtual machine system CPU usage and user CPU usage were not
recorded separately in the history database. Virtual machine system CPU usage
was always recorded as 0, which reduced the usefulness of historical information
in troubleshooting issues. Now, virtual machine system CPU usage and user CPU
usage are tracked separately and the history database now contains accurate CPU
usage statistics. (BZ#800372)
- Previously, the host hourly history view in the database began counting
minutes at 1. The hour finished at 61 minutes. Minute counting was changed to
begin at 0, so that each hour finishes at the 60th minute. (BZ#840866)
- Previously, the virtual machine hourly history view and the virtual machine
daily history view in the engine database contained duplicated records with the
same history identifiers. Duplicated history identifiers distort historical
data. The views were corrected so that each entry has a unique history
identifier. The statistics contained in the views are no longer prone to
distortion caused by duplicated history identifiers. (BZ#866492)
All Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization reports and data warehouse users are
advised to upgrade to this updated package which address these issues.
