RHBA-2012:0111 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
dlm-kernel bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated dlm-kernel packages that fix one bug are now available as part of the
ongoing support and maintenance of Red Hat Cluster Suite 4.
Description
The dlm-kernel packages allow the Distributed Lock Manager (DLM) to communicate
with the kernel.
This update fixes the following bug:
- Prior to this update, dlm-kernel modules did not match the running kernel. As
a consequence, the dlm-kernel modules could fail to load if they were not
force-loaded. With this update, all modules match the running kernel. Now,
force-loading the modules is no longer required. (BZ#787816)
Users of the 2.6.9-101.EL kernel are advised to upgrade to these updated
dlm-kernel packages, which fix this bug.
