Topic
An updated Red Hat Network Proxy package that restores startup behavior of
jabberd is now available for Red Hat Network Proxy 5.4
Description
Red Hat Network Proxy is a mechanism for caching content, such as package
updates from Red Hat or custom content created for an organization on an
internal, centrally-located server.
This update fixes the following bug:
- Previously, the init script contained two regressions. The init script for
jabberd 2.2 allowed only for the default limit of 1024 open files during
startup. This update restores the value of 2048 from Proxy 5.3. If the database
files would get corrupted jabberd would not start. This update removes these
files during startup. (BZ#660357)
All Red Hat Network Proxy users are advised to upgrade to this updated package,
which resolves this issue.
Solution
