RHBA-2009:1003 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
RealPlayer bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated RealPlayer package that fixes an upgrade conflict is now available.
Description
RealPlayer is a media player that provides media playback locally and via
streaming.
This updated RealPlayer package fixes a conflict between RealPlayer from
the Extras channel and Helix Player, which is installed when performing a
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.7 "everything" install. In this case, RealPlayer
obsoleted Helix Player and led to a situation in which using up2date failed
with a transaction error.
All users of RealPlayer are advised to upgrade to this updated package,
which resolves this issue.
