Details

An updated yum-metadata-parser package that fixes a bug is now available.

yum-metadata-parser is a fast metadata parser for yum implemented in C.

This updated yum-metadata-parser package fixes the following bug:

* in certain circumstances, yum-metadata-parser corrupted yum's sqlite
database, which could have led to problems such as dependency resolution
failures when attempting to upgrade packages. With this update, yum
regenerates the sqlite database file following each repository metadata
download, which solves possible database corruption issues.

All users should upgrade to this updated package, which resolves these
issues by always generating the .sqlite files from scratch.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.
