Topic
Updated Red Hat Network Satellite packages that address a Proxy SSL
configuration bug are now available.
Description
Red Hat Network Satellite is a systems management tool for Linux-based
infrastructures. It allows for the provisioning, remote management and
monitoring of multiple Linux deployments with a single, centralized tool.
This updated package fixes the following bug:
- After installing proxy 5.2 on RHEL 5 using the web UI installer, clients
can't connect to the proxy using SSL. The ssl.conf file contained incorrect
values for the SSLCertificateFile and SSLCertificateKeyFile configuration
variables.
All Red Hat Network Satellite users should install this updated package
which addresses this bug.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
To update all RPMs for your particular architecture, run:
rpm -Fvh [filenames]
where [filenames] is a list of the RPMs you wish to upgrade. Only those
RPMs which are currently installed will be updated. Those RPMs which are
not installed but included in the list will not be updated. Note that you
can also use wildcards (*.rpm) if your current directory *only* contains
the desired RPMs.
Please note that this update is also available via Red Hat Network. Many
people find this an easier way to apply updates. To use Red Hat Network,
launch the Red Hat Update Agent with the appropriate command for RHEL 4:
up2date
or, for RHEL 5:
yum update
This will start an interactive process that will result in the appropriate
RPMs being upgraded on your system.
Please Note: even with all previously released errata and this updated
package installed, you will need to restart Apache, using the following
command, for the fix described above to be active on your system:
service satellite-httpd restart
