An updated kexec-tools package that fixes a bug is now available.
The kexec-tools package provides tools that facilitate a new kernel to boot
using the Linux kernel kexec feature, either on a normal or a panic reboot.
On Intel Itanium-based systems, in certain situations, when "makedumpfile"
was configured as a "core_collector" in "/etc/kdump.conf", makedumpfile
may have corrupted vmcores. When analyzing such vmcores with the crash
utility, running the "bt" command may have caused a "bt: unwind: failed to
locate return link" error.
Users of kexec-tools are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.
This update is available via Red Hat Network. Details on how to use
