Details

An updated iputils package that fixes various bugs is now available.

The iputils package contains basic utilities for monitoring a network,
including ping.

This updated iputils package includes fixes for the following bugs:

* the previous release of iputils added a patch that contained an error
which caused the '-Q' option of the ping6 command to fail. This updated
package corrects this error, making "ping6 -Q" work as expected.

* the arping command would return exit code 0 even if the arp requests
failed. This regression has been fixed so that the arping command returns
the correct exit codes.

* the arping command did not work with the InfiniBand® (ipoib, or "IP over
InfiniBand") interfaces. This has been fixed so that it does.

Users are advised to upgrade to this updated iputils package, which
resolves these issues.
