Details

An updated comps package that fixes several bugs and adds enhancements is
now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.7.

The comps package contains file and header lists for use by
system-config-packages.

This updated package fixes the following bugs:

* on certain 64-bit IBM systems, the 32-bit openCryptoki package is
installed automatically, but the 64-bit version, which is also required,
is not. In this updated package, openCryptoki is marked as "default" in
the "base" group, which resolves this issue.

* during installation, it was not possible to select the "gnome-libs-devel"
and "ncompress" packages. In this updated package, "gnome-libs-devel" has
been added to the "gnome-software-development" group, and "ncompress" has
been added to the "system-tools" group.

* the 32-bit "unixODBC-devel", "libaio-devel", and "bzip2-devel" packages
were missing from the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 64-bit repository.

* on certain IBM systems, running the "ibv_devinfo" command did not
display any eHCA devices. For the correct support, users need to select the
"openfabrics-enterprise-distribution" and "compat-arch-support" groups.

* even when the "openfabrics-enterprise-distribution" group was used, the
"libibverbs-devel" package had to be installed manually. In this updated
package, "libibverbs-devel" has been added to the
"openfabrics-enterprise-distribution" group.

As well, this updated package adds the following enhancements:

* since many packages are linked against "/usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5",
"compat-libstdc++-33" has been added to the "base" group.

* an "openfabrics-enterprise-distribution" (high-performance computing)
group has been added.

* the "aide", "compat-boost", "edac-utils", "seamonkey",
"wacomexpresskeys", and "systemtap-testsuite" packages have been added to
comps.

Users of comps are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves these issues and adds these enhancements.
