An updated traceroute package that fixes various bugs is now available.
The traceroute utility displays the route used by IP packets on their way
to a specified network (or Internet) host. Traceroute displays the IP
address and hostname (if possible) of the machines along the route taken
by the packets.
This updated package fixes the following bugs:
* a bug, which may have resulted in the "traceroute [hostname]" command
displaying multiple "unaligned access" warnings when run on Intel
Itanium-based systems, has been resolved.
* the traceroute spec file was missing the '"LDFLAGS=""' build option. This
resulted in an empty traceroute-debuginfo package, which was seen by
running the "rpm -ql traceroute-debuginfo" command. In this updated
package, '"LDFLAGS=""' has been added to the traceroute spec file, which
resolves this issue.
Users of traceroute are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves these issues.
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.

traceroute bug fix update
