Updated gfs2-kmod packages that fix a bug are now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 5.2 (kernel release 2.6.18-92.el5).
The gfs2-kmod packages contain modules that provide the ability to mount
and use GFS2 file systems.
These updated packages fix the following bug:
* during heavy I/O, GFS2 could get stuck in the readv() function, waiting
for a pagelock. This would cause the filesystem to hang.
NOTE: While single-node stability has been improved with this update, GFS2
remains a Technology Preview feature.
Users are advised to upgrade to these latest gfs2-kmod packages, which
resolve this issue and are updated for use with the 2.6.18-92.el5 kernel
included in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2.
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.
This update is available via Red Hat Network. Details on how to use
the Red Hat Network to apply this update are available at
