Advisory: RHBA-2008:0448-2
Type: Bug Fix Advisory
Severity: N/A
Issued on: 2008-07-14
Last updated on: 2008-07-14
Affected Products: RHEL Supplementary (v. 5 server)
OVAL: N/A

Details

An updated xen-ia64-guest-firmware package that fixes a bug is now
available.

The xen-ia64-guest-firmware package provides fully virtualized Itanium(R)
guests with virtual EFI firmware, which is required for booting a fully
virtualized guest.

If 14GB of memory was assigned to a Microsoft Windows guest, the guest was
unable to boot. In this updated package, Microsoft Windows guests with more
than 14GB of memory boot correctly.

Users of xen-ia64-guest-firmware are advised to upgrade to this updated
package, which resolves this issue.
