Topic
An updated rhpxl package that fixes several bugs and adds an enhancement is
now available.
Description
The rhpxl package contains a Python library for configuring and running the
X Window System.
This updated package fixes the following bugs:
- after changing from a higher resolution to a lower resolution, it was not
possible to select, or change to a higher resolution. In this updated
package, the screen resolution can successfully be changed.
- when using certain hardware, the screen resolution was set to 640x480.
With an "autoconfigured" monitor, attempts to chose, or change the
resolution, for example, using "system-config-display", failed. In this
updated package, the minimum screen resolution is set to 800x600, and the
screen resolution can successfully be changed.
- after installation, missing stanza in "xorg.conf" caused problems using
a mouse, when connecting to a system through HP Integrated Lights-Out 2 (HP
iLO2). Due to the missing stanza, absolute mouse coordinates could not be
recognized. In this updated package, virtual mouse support has been added,
which resolves this issue.
- the "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/rhpxl/xhwstate.py" file contained
a line with incorrect indentation. Running the 'python
"/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/rhpxl/xhwstate.py"' command caused the
following error:
File "/usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/rhpxl/xhwstate.py", line 743
print _("Found HP Virtual Mouse")
^
IndentationError: expected an indented block
This has been resolved in this updated package.
As well, the Romanian translations for various rhpxl Python modules have
been updated.
Users of rhpxl are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves these issues and adds this enhancement.
