Details

An updated thunderbird package that fixes several bugs and adds
enhancements is now available.

Mozilla Thunderbird is a standalone mail and newsgroup client.

This updated package fixes the following bugs:

* when more than one "Compose" window was open, for example, after clicking
on the "Write" button multiple times, closing all of the "Compose" windows
caused Mozilla Thunderbird to crash.

* in certain situations, when selecting to send a document from within
OpenOffice.org, Thunderbird incorrectly placed the path to the attachment
(the temporary file) on the "To" line.

As well, this updated package adds the following enhancements:

* message tags have been added to help organize email.

* built-in support for Google Mail and Apple .Mac mail have been added.

* a find-as-you-type option, which highlights and filters email as users
type.

* the extension system has been updated to provide enhanced security, and
easier localization.

As well, this updated package upgrades thunderbird to version 2.0.0.14,
which includes a number of bug fixes and enhancements not listed here. For
a full list of bug fixes and enhancements, refer to the Thunderbird release
notes: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/2.0.0.0/releasenotes/

Users of thunderbird are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
