Advisory: RHBA-2008:0286-4
Type: Bug Fix Advisory
Severity: N/A
Issued on: 2008-06-04
Last updated on: 2008-06-04
Affected Products: Red Hat Enterprise Linux FasTrack (v. 5 client)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux FasTrack (v. 5 server)
OVAL: N/A

Details

An updated paps package that fixes a bug is now available.

The paps tool converts plain text to PostScript using Pango.

When printing with the landscape orientation, the job was incorrectly
rotated 90 degrees twice: once as part of CUPS, and again in the paps
filter. This caused the job to print in inverted portrait orientation,
rather than in the desired landscape orientation.

Users of paps are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.
