Details
An updated coolkey package that fixes various bugs is now available for Red
Hat Certificate System.
Red Hat Certificate System (RHCS) manages enterprise Public Key
Infrastructure (PKI) deployments.
The coolkey package contains driver support for CoolKey and Common Access
Card (CAC) smart card products.
This updated package fixes the following bugs:
* certain Gemalto 64K USB GemPC Key tokens were not always recognized by
ESC. An error similar to the following may have occurred:
result: OS recognizes the CCID reader, but not the smartcard
* certain Gemalto 64K smart cards were not correctly recognized on all
platforms. With such cards on Windows-based systems, cards were only
recognized the first time they were inserted. Subsequent removals and
insertions failed. On Fedora 7, such cards were only recognized if ESC
was started while the cards were inserted. Subsequent removals and
insertions failed.
Users of coolkey are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves these issues.
