An updated mcstrans package that fixes a bug is now available.
mcstrans provides a translation daemon to translate SELinux categories from
internal representations to user-defined representations.
When the "/etc/selinux/mls/setrans.conf" file contained a
"SystemLow-SystemHigh" range, and the the Multi-level Security (MLS)
policy was used, mcstransd incorrectly translated certain MLS labels,
resulting in commands such as "id -Z" returning incorrect output, for
example, "SystemLow:SystemLow-SystemHigh".
In this updated package, mcstransd correctly translates MLS labels, even
when a "SystemLow-SystemHigh" range is included in "setrans.conf".
Users of mcstrans are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves this issue.
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.
