Details

Updated squid packages that fixes bugs and adds an enhancement are now
available.

Squid is a high-performance proxy caching server for Web clients,
supporting FTP, gopher, and HTTP data objects.

These updated packages include all available upstream fixes for squid 2.5.
As well, they address the following bug:

* the squid init script returned some incorrect error codes and could also
prevent the correct status command from being called. This has been
corrected.

The new packages also add the following enhancement:

* "--enable-arp" has been enabled, allowing squid to filter and control
access using client MAC addresses.

All users of squid should upgrade to these updated packages, which resolve
this issue and add this enhancement.
