Bug Fix Advisory php-pear bug fix update

Advisory: RHBA-2007:0958-4
Type: Bug Fix Advisory
Severity: N/A
Issued on: 2008-05-21
Last updated on: 2008-05-21
Affected Products: RHEL Desktop Workstation (v. 5 client)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (v. 5 server)
OVAL: N/A

Details

An updated php-pear package that fixes a bug is now available.

PEAR is a framework and distribution system for reusable PHP components.

The php-pear package incorrectly required the installation of the php
package, rather than the php-cli package. This resulted in the unnecessary
installation of the Apache HTTP Server for users wishing to use PEAR.

Users should upgrade to this updated package, which resolves this issue.
