Topic
Updated clustermon packages that fix several bugs and add an enhancement
are now available.
Description
The clustermon package is a module used for remote cluster management.
These updated packages fix the following bugs:
- the ricci init script returned incorrect error codes, and there were
problems with the status command call. The ricci init script is now Linux
Standard Base (LSB) compliant.
- starting conga on a cluster with the ricci agent running, but without
the cluster services started, caused some nodes to show up in the grey
"unresponsive" state even when the ricci agent was correctly running. The
following error occurred:
The ricci agent for this node is unresponsive. Node-specific information is
not available at this time.
Conga now reports the correct status of the ricci agent.
- a failed cluster service needed to be disabled before it could be
started or restarted. Failed cluster services no longer need to be disabled
before being started or restarted.
This update also adds the following enhancement:
- the /etc/cluster/fence_xvm.key file is required to validate fence_xvm
requests for Dom0 and DomU clusters. In previous clustermon packages
this file had to manually be created, and must contain the same
information on both the physical and virtual clusters. A default
fence_xvm.key file is automatically created in these updated packages.
All clustermon users should upgrade to these updated packages, which
resolve these issues and add this enhancement.
