An updated sos package that fixes various bugs and adds several
enhancements is now available.
SOS is a set of tools that gathers information about system
hardware and configuration. The information can then be used for
diagnostic purposes and debugging. SOS is commonly used to help
support technicians and developers.
Bugs fixed in this updated package include:
* sosreport did not terminate cleanly on ^C.
* sosreport multi-threaded option sometimes failed.
* sosreport did not have a man page.
Features added in this release include:
* The command line -o option allows specifying which plugins to run.
* a progress indicator was added.
* Information about xen environment is collected.
* Information related to the new driver update model is gathered.
* sosreport now collects rpm-va output by default.
Users should upgrade to this updated sos package, which resolves these issues.
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied.
