RHBA-2007:0472 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
sed bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
A sed update, with fixes in handling of escape sequences, is now available.
Description
Sed is a stream or batch (non-interactive) editor. Sed takes text as
input, performs an operation or set of operations on the text, and outputs
the modified text.
With this update, handling of escape sequences in 'y' command, in
single-byte locales, was fixed.
This update is recommended for all sed users.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
This update is available via Red Hat Network. To use Red Hat Network,
launch the Red Hat Update Agent with the following command:
up2date
This will start an interactive process that will result in the appropriate
RPMs being upgraded on your system.
