Details

New OpenIPMI packages that fix a bug in the ipmitool application are now
available.

The Open IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) project develops
an open code base to allow access to platform information. These packages
contain the tools of the OpenIPMI project.

The ipmitool application displayed an error when trying to display FRU
devices for physical devices.

All users of OpenIPMI are encouraged to upgrade to these updated packages,
which resolve this issue.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied. Use Red Hat
Network to download and update your packages. To launch the Red Hat
Update Agent, use the following command:

up2date
