Synopsis
anaconda bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated anaconda and anaconda-runtime packages that fix various
installation bugs are now available.
Description
The anaconda package contains portions of the Red Hat Linux installation
program that can be run by the user for reconfiguration and advanced
installation options. The anaconda-runtime package contains parts of the
Red Hat Linux installer which are needed for installing new systems.
This update addresses the following issues encountered during installation:
- Entering rescue mode resulted in a traceback.
- RAID on IDE disks for non-i386 platforms was not detected.
- Connecting to the installer via telnet on z900 resulted in failure.
All users of anaconda should upgrade to these updated packages, which
resolve these issues.
