Details

An updated fonts-chinese package that resolves an issue with bitmap fonts
and gb18030 encoding is now available.

The fonts-chinese package provides the Simplified Chinese TrueType Font,
the Traditional Chinese Ming and Kai TrueType fonts, and bitmap fonts.

This update requires the 'xorg-x11-font-utils' package, which contains the
'bdftopcf' command for generating the Taipei bitmap fonts. This update also
adds an alias for gb18030 encoding support for the Zhong Yi Song TrueType font.

Users who need Chinese support for their system are advised to upgrade to
this updated package which resolves this issue.
