Description
The mkinitrd utility creates file system images for use as initial ramdisk
(initrd) images.
This update addresses the following issues:
- Adds support for booting from USB storage devices
- Fixes handling of kernel module options that span multiple lines
All users of mkinitrd should apply this update, which resolves
these issues.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied. Use Red Hat
Network to download and update your packages. To launch the Red Hat
Update Agent, use the following command:
up2date
