RHBA-2006:0632 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
sysreport bug fix
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated sysreport package that includes various fixes is now
available.
Description
The sysreport package contains a utility that gathers information about a
system's hardware and configuration. The information can then be used for
diagnostic purposes and debugging. Sysreport is commonly used to help
support technicians and developers by providing a "snapshot" of a
system's current layout.
This updated version of sysreport addresses the following issues:
- sysreport returned a return code of 255 instead of 0, which caused Red
Hat's HWcert INFO test to fail
- a conflict between sysreport and named update caused a Denial of
Service error
Users of sysreport are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which
resolves these issues.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
This update is available via Red Hat Network. To use Red Hat Network,
launch the Red Hat Update Agent with the following command:

RPMs being upgraded on your system.
