RHBA-2006:0469 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
nfs-utils bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated nfs-utils packages are now available that correct a regression in
the exporting, re-exporting and un-exporting of file systems in a cluster
environment.
Description
The nfs-utils package provides a daemon for the kernel NFS server and
related tools, providing a much higher level of performance than the
traditional Linux NFS server used by most users.
The following issues have been addressed:
Version 1 of the mount protocol could not be disabled from
the NFS start-up script like versions 2 and 3 can be.
This update allows the setting of the MOUNTD_NFS_V1 shell
variable, which will cause the rpc.mountd daemon to disable
version 1 of the mountd protocol.
Users should upgrade to these updated packages, which resolve this issue.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied. Use Red Hat
Network to download and update your packages. To launch the Red Hat
