An updated bash package that addresses two rarely-occurring problems is now
available.
Description
Bash is the default shell for Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
This updated version of bash fixes an interaction between signal handling
and the .bash_history file, as well as a race condition when deconstructing
chains of commands in a pipe.
Users should upgrade to these updated packages, which resolve these issues.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied. Use Red Hat
Network to download and update your packages. To launch the Red Hat
Update Agent, use the following command:
up2date
