RHBA-2006:0274 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
mysql bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated mysql packages are now available.
Description
MySQL is a multi-user, multi-threaded SQL database server. MySQL is a
client/server implementation consisting of a server daemon (mysqld)
and many different client programs and libraries.
The 3.23.58-16.RHEL3.1 version of mysql-server went live on RHN as a result
of RHSA-2005:348. That security issue only affected mysql-server, but all
of the mysql packages were respun. Since then, the 3.23.58-16.RHEL3.1
version of mysql, mysql-devel, and mysql-bench have been included in the
RHEL 3 ISOs. Until now only the 3.23.58-15.RHEL3.1 version of those
packages was available from RHN.
Users of mysql are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which
resolve this issue.
