An updated grub package that fixes various bugs is now available.
Description
The grub utility is responsible for booting the operating system kernel.
The following issues have been adressed:
- grub-install now supports use of enhanced stack protection features.
- grub-install now handles storage devices with nonstandard device paths.
- documentation has been clarified regarding "grub-install --recheck"
All users of grub should upgrade to this updated package, which resolves
these issues.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released
errata relevant to your system have been applied. Use Red Hat
Network to download and update your packages. To launch the Red Hat
Update Agent, use the following command:
up2date
