Details

An updated hwdata package that fixes various bugs is now available.

The hwdata package contains hardware identification and configuration data.

Various updates were made to the pcitable in the hwdata package, including:

- a fix to the mapping for certain QLogic cards
- support for additional MPT Fusion cards
- a fix for an ATI card brand name
- a fix for an anaconda crash when installing on machines with certain
video cards

Additionally, the hisax ISDN modules were added to the blacklist of
automatically loaded modules to allow them to be loaded by the ISDN init
script.

The descriptive databases of monitors, PCI ids, and USB ids were also updated.

Users are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which addresses these
issues.


Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.

This update is available via Red Hat Network. To use Red Hat Network,
launch the Red Hat Update Agent with the following command:

up2date

This will start an interactive process that will result in the appropriate
RPMs being upgraded on your system.
